Starr Commonwealth is proud to announce the launch of a new website, www.starrtraining.org.
Starrtraining.org is designed to provide professionals who work with youth – from school counselors and psychologists to teachers and educators – with the skills and tools they need to intervene early and prevent crisis.
TLC – The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children provides training for school and agency professionals who work with traumatized children, adolescents and families. Professionals can become certified and accredited by TLC.
NDK – No Disposable Kids consists of a variety of programs aimed at training schools and teachers to recognize the signs and better manage the crises that too often lead to violence in schools. Sessions address issues like conflict in the classroom, adult responses to crises, and working productively with resistant youth.
Glasswing – We provide the training to become a Healing of Racism facilitator, in orderr to lead participants through a 2-day transformation of their hearts and minds about racism and how we relate to one another as members of the human family.
Please visit www.starrtraining.org to learn more about the Starr Institute for Training and ways in which we can help the youth that you and your organization serve.
